Carl Sagan Memorial Station

The Carl Sagan Memorial Station is the name given to the Mars Pathfinder lander after its successful touchdown on Mars in 1997. Named in honor of the late astronomer Carl Sagan, the station deployed the Sojourner rover to explore the Martian surface.
