Juno is a NASA space probe launched on August 5, 2011, to study Jupiter. It entered a highly elliptical polar orbit around Jupiter on July 4, 2016, allowing it to investigate the planet's atmosphere, magnetic field, and gravitational field while minimizing exposure to Jupiter's intense radiation belts.
