NGC 3344 is a weakly barred spiral galaxy located approximately 20 million light-years away in the constellation Leo Minor. Seen nearly face‑on, it exhibits a central bar, fragmented spiral arms, regions of young blue star formation, and outer stellar behavior suggesting past galactic interactions.
